Suspension training is a relatively new training development offering a totally different workout concept to single exercise machines.  Suspension training utilises a combined approach that can be applied to specific areas of the body, but which has the added benefit of improving balance, co-ordination and flexibility.

The key aspects of this type of training are:

  • motion in three dimensions (not possible with normal fitness equipment)
  • easily variable resistance (by altering body position)
  • total body workouts that target core fitness (abs, back chest and pelvic area) in addition to specific parts of the body
  • extreme portability, meaning that you can take your exercise equipment and workout anywhere in the world.

Suspension training equipment can also compliment any training station or gym rig as the space requirements are minimal.

This type of exercise particularly lends itself to circuit training as there is minimal delay in changing from one exercise to another.  Furthermore, suspension training rigs are a very welcome addition for those who find their workout routines frustrated by delays at single exercise stations.

Suspension training kits and variety of workout rigs are available from Fit Hire.  Click on the following links to find out more: (rigs) (suspension)
