Selectorised Machines for Hire
Selectorised machines are not often used in commercial hire since they are very bulky and difficult to install. But it is possible to rent for longer terms.
These are weight training machines with a set of metal plates giving resistance when they are pulled up by a cable as the user pushes or pulls and handle or bar. In terms of safety, these are the best since the weight is all contained in a shrouded stack with no risk of falling or tipping. Also, if the user fails, they just let the weights return to the start position.
Hiring a selectorised machine for commercial use creates a safe space for strength and conditioning, and the only disadvantage is the weight and bulk of the machine. In a small studio, a limited number of selectorised machines will need to be chosen.
Favourite pin loaded machines are chest and shoulder press, leg press, lat pulldown, bicep curl, dual pulley functional trainer, cable crossover, seated row and pec fly.
Choosing one selectorised machine for gym use is easy – the dual pulley or functional trainer is the best. With 2 weight stacks and 2 adjustable height pulleys, there are over 40 exercises possible, some of which require a weights bench. Every decent local gym has one of these, and most schools and tertiary gyms have them for pupils and PE coaches to use.
Not many hire companies rent selectorised machines, but Fit Hire has always made the best range of fitness equipment available to our customers. This includes the heavier items to cater for athletes, personal trainers and sports coaches.
There are not many domestic versions as homes tend to be too small for multiple machines, but where the space is available, a selectorised machine will give a better quality workout on the muscle group than a multigym.
Film studios needing a gym for an artist or stunt team usually hire this kind of machine for months at a time – even putting them into a gym in a 5th wheel trailer.
Brands we offer include Nautilus, Matrix, BH, Gym Gear and Life Fitness.
