Weights Bench for Hire

There is no substitute for weight training when you want to build muscle. In order to maximise the use of “free” weights (ie. dumbbells and barbells), a bench is necessary. It enables lying and sitting in safety when using the weights in the home.

Most home hire use benches have an adjustable seat for incline or decline, and some have attachments that allow for extra exercises to be performed. Barbell benches have upright bar holders for safety when performing presses. An Olympic bar will fit on a home weights bench, and we do hire these. All of our weights benches have easy adjustment of the seat angle.

Hire fitness equipment like a weights bench and it opens up many possibilities of home gym training, including powerlifting, bodybuilding and HiiT workouts.

Where space is tight, a folding model is recommended. Weight training is known as anaerobic exercise, meaning that the cardiorespiratory benefit is minimal. However, benefits include muscle growth and toning, strength gains, and some fat loss (particularly during longer workouts or “super-set” training).

Look for a weights bench that has a strong steel section frame and welds that make it rigid. Cheap weights benches are less safe and do not handle the weight well, and in a domestic setting this can be risky. Thick upholstery is also important so that it is comfortable even when using heavy weights.

Some weights benches have accessories like a leg extension, lat pulldown or preacher curl attachment, making them ideal for multiple exercises.

Most weights benches have transport wheels to make it possible to move it around the house without injury. When used with a power rack or smith machine, there are many exercises possible

Renting a weights bench for a long period may not be cost effective as they are not too expensive to buy. We offer a hire to buy option for domestic customers.
