In 1999, Fit Hire was born - in a bedroom office, with some basic home fitness equipment stored in a shared garage… and a little van.

In the early days, our customer base was exclusively Domestic, but a move to a larger storage facility in 2001 meant that we could stock a greater range of equipment, including strength training items.

In 2004, a film company based at Pinewood Studios chose us to produce a studio gym for an artist, and this opened our eyes to the possibilities of Commercial hire - we even had a set of steel monkey bars made specially for action shot training.

In 2006, we opened a showroom near Petersfield, where customers could try different types of equipment before deciding what to buy or hire - we remained there for many years up until the move to our current location.

In 2010 we started to offer Lease Hire to our corporate clients, which has proven very popular on larger installations.

In 2013 our warehousing moved to a dedicated facility which contains a workshop for servicing and repairs to be carried out. We work closely with many brands and even repair equipment on their behalf.

As our staff levels grew, a corporate brochure was produced in 2015 which enabled us to approach Corporate clients to explain the Commercial solutions we offer. On the back of this, we have been chosen by several high profile companies to supply a gym for their staff.

Now, after 20 years, we have grown to become the UK’s one-stop shop for fitness equipment solutions, offering Sales, Hire and Servicing. Our Domestic customers still receive the personal attention they need, and our Corporate clients benefit from our expertise throughout their chosen project.

We have the largest choice of fitness equipment for hire in the UK, and our staff are professional, knowledgeable people with an interest in healthy living, sport and wellness. Our showroom enables us to give tailored advice based on our customer's needs. Visitors are able to take as much time as they need, to ensure that the equipment chosen is right for them.

Although the majority of our Hire and Servicing customers are in the South, we operate nationwide for a couple of our largest clients. We sell both new and used equipment throughout the UK.

We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the British Independant Retail Association (BIRA), Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and have a Consumer Credit Licence in relation to the hire and sale of equipment.
