How Fit Hire Ltd ("we") use your information:

Your privacy is important to us. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of your information.

Legal compliance - If the law requires us to, we may need to collect and process your data. For example, we can pass on details of people involved in fraud or other criminal activity affecting Fit Hire Ltd to law enforcement.

Legitimate interest - In specific situations, we require your data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way which might reasonably be expected as part of running our business and which does not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests. For example, we may use your contact details to send you information about products and services that we think may interest you.

What sort of personal data do we collect?

If you make an enquiry, hire or purchase an item from us we will collect your name, billing/delivery address, email and telephone number.

If you collect a hire item, we will take copies of documents to prove your identity (passport and/or driving licence). This will include details of your full name, address, date of birth and facial image. If you provide a passport, the data will include your place of birth, gender and nationality.

Payment card information.

Storing your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Security of your data

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees or contractors who need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and the ICO where we are legally required to do so.

Who do we share your information with?

We will not share your information with third parties without your consent unless the law requires us to do so.

Requesting access to your personal data

Under Data Protection legislation, you have the right to request access to information about you that we hold. You also have the right to:

  • claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Data Protection regulations.
